Method for sharing multimedia data, such method comprising: - a stage of insertion of multimedia data in a space administered by an author; - a stage of establishment by the author of a list of authorized persons, who are granted a right of access to the multimedia data contained in the space administered by the author, such persons constituting a virtual community; a visitor authentication stage requiring access to the space administered by the author; - a stage covering information to the author of the identity of the authenticated visitor; the said method being characterized in that it comprises a stage of automatic launching by the author of an interactive real time communication session with the authenticated visitor.
