BROAD SPECTRUM BIOPESTICIDE FORMULATION WITH FUNGAL ANTAGONIST AND ENTEMOPATHOGENIC FUNGI

The present invention provides a novel broad spectrum biopesticide formulation comprising of a fungal biocontrol agent, biological antagonist and adjuvant in a carrier. The fungal biocontrol agent is essentially a co-formulation of a fungal antagonist, Trichoderma virens and an entomopathogenic fungi, Metarhizium anisopliae or Beauveria bassiana. The oil seed cake of Pongamia pinnata acts as antagonist against insect pests and fungal diseases. The adjuvant carboxymethyl cellulose gum is used for the specific sticking function. The biopesticide formulation is talc based with pyrite soil as the ideal carrier. The biopesticide formulation is effective for the control of major foliar insect pests and fungal diseases of wide range of crops.
