摘要
The present invention "PRODUCTION OF FERMENTED PROBIOTIC FEED, PRODUCTION PROTOCOL, FERMENTATION CONDITIONS, DRYING, STORAGE AND USES THEREOF" related to the production of yeast fermented feed as a source of probiotic supplement for application in animal nutrition. Agro-industrial by-product used as substrate for yeast cultivation under solid state fermentation to produce fermented feed containing live yeast cells for probiotic application intended for animal feeding. The invention involved process of cultivation of Sacchromyces cerevise spp (medium for cultivation, composition of medium, pH, sterilization and incubation conditions), wherein wheat bran containing approximately of 90 to 95 % dry matter, 12 to 14 % crude protein, 89 to 91 % organic matter, 2.5 to 3.0 % crude fat, having moisture content 65 to 70 %, sterilized and subsequently inoculated with activated bulk liquid culture at 2 to 3 %, incubated at 25 to 30°C for 65 to 72 hrs. Yeast fermented product dried under shed in sterilized conditions at 20 to 26°C for 60 to 72 hrs. Dried fermented yeast product was stored in a dry place at room temperature below 37°C, maintained cell viability ranging from 104 to 106 per gram. The use of dried fermented yeast product as probiotic feed for nutritional supplement at 10 to 30 g per kg feed, in growing young ruminant/ optionally lambs, each day for 90 to 120 days, improved roughage intake, growth performance enhanced by 5 to 8 percent, feed efficiency increased by 3 to 9 percent and cost of feed inputs per kg live weight gain reduced by 6 to 12 percent. Feeding also reduced number and days of diarrhea in lambs. Feeding of 30 to 50 g fermented probiotic feed twice in day containing live yeast cells 104 to 104 per gram controls food born diarrhea in small ruminant.
