摘要

A process and a device for the treatment of any effluent containing cyanide through advanced photocatalytic oxidation to make it suitable for industrial or recreational purpose. Industrial utility may be like washing, cooling, ash disposal, green belt development etc. It involves addition of H2O2, O3 & photocatalyst, in mixture or individual by an automatic control system for regulating the dosing concentration of oxidizing agents as per characteristic of treatment water sample. A reactor is endowed with mechanism to inject O3 through innovative O3 diffuser and H2O2, one inlet at its base and other at its top side arm, respectively. UV light being the source of photon energy employed at central axis of the reactor. It requires very low maintenance. The system may be configured to operate at pilot scale with self generated O3 inside the main treatment chamber accomplishing the complete destruction of cyanide present in the effluent.
