A novel hydroelectric power generating system and apparatus which is uninterrupted, cost effective, compact and user friendly with high efficiency and minimal maintenance. A D.C. motor, a hydro electric turbine unit, an A.C motor and a unique piston pumping system operate wherein water from a water storage tank is drawn up by the piston pumping system and sent to the hydro electric turbine unit. On impact with the V shaped turbine vanes, the water rotates the turbine and falls back into the water storage tank with minimal wastage.
