This invention relates to a medical safety intravenous (I.V.) catheter and in particular, a safety intravenous (I.V.) catheter device with a Safety Clip. The Safety Clip slides from the butterfly portion at the time of cannulation and the needle run its length between the Safety Clip and the needle hub and wherein the forming on the needle gets locked inside the criss cross pattern of stainless clip.
