The present invention relates to a process of preparing a synergistic composition for treating hyperproliferative dermatological conditions through oral and/or topical administration, said process comprising steps of: (a) obtaining Boswellia gum extract containing boswellic acids of concentration ranging between 50 mg to 500mg; (b) obtaining selenium of concentration ranging between 10 mg to 200 mg; (c) mixing the Boswellia gum extract of step (a) with selenium of step (b), optionally alongwith pharmaceutically acceptable excipients; and (d) obtaining the synergistic composition for treatment of hyperproliferative dermatological conditions.
