The stone pavement has a frame clamp (11'), two opposite gripping jaws and two opposite alignment jaws (5') for clamping a stone (9'). A moving device (7') moves the stone located along an edge of a stone layer, where the moving device is operated by an actuator such as hydraulic cylinder (17). A sliding rail is provided with a C-shaped cross section and a pressure element in different positions along the sliding rail. The sliding rail is pre-stressed by a spring in a sliding direction.
