The system has an object recognition device connected to a control device, comprising a three-dimensional (3D) sensor (1) with a two-dimensional arrangement of optical sensors and horizontally positioned at a distance from another 3D sensor (2). A central line (10) of an image field (3) of the latter 3D sensor and another central line (11) of another image field (4) of the former 3D sensor enclose an angle unequal to zero degree, where the lines diverge and enclose a view angle (alpha) that is smaller than a maximum angle of view of the image fields in a horizontal plane.
