Antisense modulation of insulin-like growth factor binding protein 5 expressions

Provided is an antisense oligonucleotide 8 to 50 nucleobases in length targeted to nucleobases 11 through 30 or nucleobases 584 through 603 of a specified sequence of the nucleic acid molecule encoding insulin-like growth factor binding protein 5, wherein said oligonucleotide specifically hybridizes with one of said regions and inhibits the expression of insulin-like growth factor binding protein when the antisense molecule has at least a 70% complementary sequence to the said targeted nucleobases. The molecule can be used in vitro to inhibit the insulin-like growth factor binding protein 5 in cells or tissues.
