The invention relates to a stage I and stage II compressor cylinder for the piston compressors with opposite cylinders of the type 181 M1. According to the invention, the cylinder comprises a cylinder body (C), closed by a double wall (cg4) at the end where a gas pressgland (E) is mounted, said double wall being rigidly attached to the wall (cr2) inside which there is a space (cR2) for cooling the gas pressgland (E), which is common by some holes (or3 and or4) with some cooling compartments, namely a cooling space (cR1) and an opening (cR3) of a cylinder bushing (F) and of some valves (H1 and H2), the supply with cooling medium being carried out through some holes (or1 and or2); a piston rod (I) is mounted in the cross-head, with angular position in relation thereto, made by two flattened portions (t1 and t2) of the rod (I), eccentrically carried out in relation to the axis of rod (I), said flattened portions also being located in the cross-head seat wherein the rod (I) is mounted, while a piston (J) is mounted on the piston rod (I) by means of a wedge (p2) by which there is ensured an angular position, which is necessary to locate a supporting surface (Ja) made of antifriction material, in the lower part of the piston, when the piston is mounted in the cylinder.
