PROCESS FOR ISOLATING SYMBIOTIC NITROGEN-FIXING BACTERIA FROM LEGUMINOUS PLANTS NODULES

The invention relates to a process for isolating nitrogen-fixing rhizobia from the leguminous plants nodules, by harvesting the active nodules, performing a surface disinfection thereof by three immersions into a 0.01% solution of alkyl dimethylbenzyl ammonium chloride, washing them with sterile distilled water, aseptically crushing them in a sterile solution of phosphate buffer saline, having a pH value of 7.2 and containing 5 mg/l NaSeO.5HO, followed by homogenization and dilution of homogenisate wherefrom rhizobia are selected by cultivation for 4...7 days, at a temperature of 28°C, on a selective medium which stimulates redifferentiation of bacteroides and growth of rhizobia, followed by the selection and purification of rhizobia colonies.
