The protective locking mechanism of the triggering - releasing mechanism of an automatic gun prevents downtimes of automatic guns upon the impact of the weapon with the rear part of the shoulder rest upon a solid surface when the gun is cocked or ready for firing and the fire controller is in position A (automatic) or in the position I (individual). In case of the impact by the rear part of the shoulder rest the protective locking mechanism (3), which is subject to the impact force is submerged into the enclosure (7) and the catching notch (12) on the protective locking mechanism (3) blocks the primary locking mechanism (6) which prevents the triggering of the hammer (13) thus preventing the downtime of the weapon.
