A METHOD FOR PROTECTION AGAINST SHORT- CIRCUIT CURRENTS IN A POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT OF AN ASYNCHRONOUS MOTOR

A method for protection against short-circuit currents of an asynchronous motor comprises determination of supply network current, generation of a command to disconnect the motor from a power supply source, when current in the supply network exceeds permitted value. During disconnection of the asynchronous motor from the power supply source, a stator current is determined, when there is short-time current decreasing and following current increasing, a command to disconnect stator windings of the asynchronous motor is generated.
