METHOD FOR CLOSURE OF EXTENDED DEFECTS OF SOFT TISSUES IN HAND USING EXPANDER DERMOTENSION

A method for the closure of the extended defects of the soft tissues in the hand comprises tailoring the bridge-like skin flaps. The balloon expander is implanted onto the anterior abdominal wall or the back. The expander is filled with physiological saline. Then the expander is removed. The mass of the expanded skin is used for tailoring the bridge-like pedunculated skin flap. The flap is fixed to the edges of the defect. The hand is fixed to the trunk. After complete flap retention, the peduncles are cut and the anatomical and functional segment of the hand is restored.
