Method for determination of temperature conductivity of friable non-metal materials relates to measuring engineering and can be used at investigation and implementation of new functional materials in optical-electronic instrument making. The method includes measurement of physical values of materials and determination of temperature conductivity of those through calculation. Preliminarily one chooses reference material with known temperature conductivity. One blocks plates made of reference material and of material under investigation. Together one polishes one surface of blocked plates and then measures residual ellipticity at reflection of polarized light at Brewster angle from polished surfaces of standard material and material under investigation. Value of temperature conductivity of material under investigation is calculated by respective formula. The method provides decrease of duration and labor consumption at determination of temperature conductivity of materials.
