The invention provides for a system (10) for photographing one or more members of a crowd at a venue which includes a plurality of areas (12), each area (12) having an identifier. The system (10) includes a plurality of movable cameras (18), an message receiving means (14) for receiving a digital text message which includes an identifier of at least one of the areas (12) and an electronic processing unit (22) for controlling the positioning of a camera (18) in the vicinity of the area (12) to enable it to take a photograph of the area (12) identified in the message. The invention extends to a method for photographing one or more members of a crowd at a venue.
