The hospital unit (1) has a cabinet (2) housing medical gas bottles, and wheels (12) for displacement. Monitoring and control units provide information about non-functioning of the unit (1) to a user. Rear intakes for sampling medical fluid are connected to a medical fluid distribution network arranged in a hospital building, and are associated to a rear wall of the cabinet. Lateral intakes are associated to lateral walls (27, 28) of the cabinet. A connecting line fluidly connects the gas bottles to the intakes for supplying the intakes with gas delivered by the gas bottles.
