The modular heat exchanger system has two heat exchanger units (10,10') arranged along a common plane in a connected state, and two plate elements (30,30'), which are arranged at an end at openings of flow ducts (20). The former plate element of a heat exchanger unit is respectively arranged on the latter plate element of the latter heat exchanger unit during the connection of two adjacent heat exchanger units.
