Producing a composite material, comprises introducing the activator and/or adhesion promoter, which is added to the elastomer, consisting of triallyl compounds e.g. triallyl cyanurate, and a layer of thermosets e.g. phenol-formaldehyde resins, basalt and/or carbon fiber-containing thermosets, covering the carrier material layer with a layer of the elastomer, and subjecting the layer to a temperature- and/or compressive stress to achieve a direct adhesive bond between the elastomer and the carrier material. Producing a composite material made of an elastomer, such as a vulcanizable elastomer containing an adhesion promoter and/or an activator, and a carrier material, comprises introducing the activator and/or adhesion promoter, which is added to the elastomer, consisting of triallyl compounds such as triallyl cyanurate, triallyl isocyanurate, triallyl phosphate, triallyl mellitate, diallyl phthalate, metal acrylates or metal methacrylates, such as zinc diacrylate, zinc dimethacrylate, and a layer of thermosets such as phenol-formaldehyde resins, epoxy resins, acrylate resins, urea resins, alkyd resins, melamine resins, polyurethane resins, vinyl ester resins, basalt and/or carbon fiber-containing thermosets and/or a combination of basalt, carbon fiber, aramid, glass, polyester and natural fibers selected carrier material in a form, covering the carrier material layer with a layer of the elastomer, and subjecting the layer to a temperature- and/or compressive stress to achieve a direct adhesive bond between the elastomer and the carrier material. An independent claim is included for the composite material.
