Procedure for discrimination and mapping ofthe nerd stands in sunflower crops byremote sensing;Procedure for mapping infested areas of the weed known as nerd ( Ridolfia segetum Moris ) in sunflower plantations by remote sensing. It has application in Agriculture, and more specifically in Agricultural or Environmental Technical Assistance Companies, or in Public or Private Agro-Environmental Audits.;It mainly consists of the analysis ofdigital images taken about 8-12 weeksafter planting the crop, when sunflower plants arethey find the open chapter (yellow bracts), and theNerve plants exceed the height of the crop and meetin the phenological state of yellowish open umbels. TheImages are processed as follows: a) transformation by someof the vegetation indices selected; b) conformation ofareas classified as infested and not infested byimplementation of predetermined border digital levels; C)mapping of the agricultural plot in micro-plots, ofabout 20 x 20 m; d) estimate of the infested area and the intakeof decisions about herbicide applications or not in eachmicro-plot;This procedure is a tool forprecision with three objectives: 1) application of phytosanitary wareherbicides only in areas infested with nerves; 2) get theeconomic and environmental benefit inherent in such reduction ofphytosanitary; and 3) determine the right or not to the perception ofgrants from public administrations relating tocertain agro-environmental measures.
