A system for transmitting data to a plurality of satellites, so that the system comprises: a first antenna (308b) earth uplink, located at a first earth location, capable position to convey a first beam of highly focused uplink ( 328a) at a receive antenna of a first satellite (320), such that the first satellite (320) is in a first position within one orbital slot; and a second antenna (308a) earth uplink, collocated at the first earth location, capable of transmitting a second beam of highly focused uplink (324a) at a receive antenna of a second satellite (316) position such so that the second satellite (316) is in a second position in the orbital slot, such that the second satellite (316) is separated from the first satellite by at least one separation angle; wherein the first beam of highly focused uplink (328a) includes first signals at a first range of frequencies, and wherein the second beam of highly focused uplink (324a) includes second signals at the range of frequencies; such that the first beam of highly focused uplink (328a) is attenuated by -30 dB or lower in magnitude beyond the separation angle in the direction of the second satellite (316), and so that the second beam uplink highly focused (324a) it is attenuated by 30dB or lower magnitude beyond the separation angle in the direction of the first satellite (320).
