The invention relates to a regulation systemfor inducible expression of genes, comprisinga lambdoid promoter, a gene coding fora repressor for the lambdoid promotor and agene coding for an antirepressor of the repressor,which antirepressor is under the influenceof an inducible promotor. The invention furtherrelates to a regulatory replicon, comprisingsaid gene coding for an antirepressor, an expressionsystem, comprising said regulatory replicon,and an expression vector based on a lambdoidpromotor, and also to a method for producinga gene product in a heterologous host, by providinga culture of a host comprising a heterologoussequence which codes for the gene product,wherein the expression of the heterologoussequence is under the control of a regulation system,a gene coding for a repressor for the lambdoidpromotor and a gene coding for an antirepressor,and by inducing the promotor of theantirepressor gene.
