The present invention relates to water-containing formulations for the dermalcontrolof parasitic insects and mites on humans, said formulations having thefollowingcomposition:a - agonists or antagonists of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors ofinsects in aconcentration of from 0.0001 to 7.5 % by weight, based on the overall weightof the formulation;b - water in a concentration of from 20 to 50 % by weight, based on theoverallweight of the formulation;c - acyclic alcohols in a concentration of from 20 to 50 % by weight, based onthe overall weight of the formulation;d - solvents from the group consisting of cyclic carbonates and lactones in aconcentration of from 2.5 up to 20.0 % by weight, based on the overall weightof the formulation;e - optionally further auxiliaries from the group consisting of thickeners,spreading agents, colorants, antioxidants, propellants, preservatives,tackifiers, emulsifiers, in a concentration of from 0 up to 30 % by weight,based on the overall weight of the formulation.
