The present invention relates to a composition for detecting an infinitesimalquantity of beta-1,3-glucan, a preparationmethod thereof and a diagnostic kit detecting beta-1,3-glucan. The compositionof the present invention shows phenoloxidase activityby beta-1,3-glucan in the presence of calcium ions. Using the composition ofthe present invention, a sample is gathered from aspecimen, the composition of the present invention and calcium ions are addedto the sample, and beta-1,3-glucan is detected bymeasuring phenoloxidase activity.
