An assembly for automatically supplying an amountof feed to a dairy animal in a predetermined period. Saidassembly is provided with a milking box and with a feedingparlour located outside the milking box. The milking box isprovided with a milking robot for automatically milking adairy animal, and with a feeding station for automaticallysupplying feed to the dairy animal under control of a firstcontrol device. The feeding parlour automatically suppliesfeed to the dairy animal under control of a second controldevice. The assembly is further provided with a third controldevice, the third control device generating a control signalfor controlling the first and/or the second control device insuch a way that the collective supply of feed in saidpredetermined period is at least approximately equal to saidamount of feed.
