A twisting tumbler lock with a side bar (16,16') is provided with additionallevels of security by a axially reciprocable slider (24,24') which is normallypositioned to block operation of the side bar (16,16') but is moved by aspecially configured key (34,34') to free operation of the side bar (16,16').This provides a third level of locking security, it also allows master keying.The unique key (34,34') has a portion of a rib (40) formed to cooperate withthe slider (24,24') to further allow key control.
