A METHOD FOR HORTICULTURAL GRAFTING: THE SLEEVE OR WHISTLE GRAFT

A process for producing grafted plants by working a scion to form a sleevethat fits onto a correspondingexposed region formed from the woody core of a trunk, stem or branch of anestablished plant. The processcan be repeated numerous times on an established plant with a minimum ofequipment, knowledge, time,labour and cost while reducing infection, herbivory and physical defectsassociated with problems such asinvasiveness of technique and poor physical stability associated with oldergrafting methods.
