The present invention provides an agent for treatingand/or preventing osteoporosis, comprising oceanic mineralcomponents containing essential trace elements. Inpreparation of the agent, the oceanic mineral complex isallowed to contain as the active ingredient the residuecomprising minerals chelated by treating the concentratedseawater containing organic components derived frompicoplanktons living in seawater and mineral componentschelated by the organic components with charcoal powderand acetic acid and then removing sodium chloride andtoxic components.
