Methods and systems for adapting the topology of a multi-block structured meshof an object (11) to amodification of the geometry thereof resulting from an operation defined withrespect to a certain spatial direction, which appliesto the design of said object (11) by means of digital simulation in structuredmeshes, which comprise the following steps: a)providing the starting geometry (21) and the description of the topology ofthe starting mesh (31); b) locating key points (25);locating the set of key vertices placed at said key points (25); locating allthe reference vertices (10) seeking the vertices connectedto said key vertices along the spatial directions; implementing thegeometrical operation and obtaining the adapted topology of themesh by moving said set of key vertices to the position determined by themodified geometry (23) and the remaining vertices inproportion to the shift of the corresponding key vertex.
