The device has an individual controller containing a plug strip (7) with first plug parts (8), a connection strip (20) on an associated expansion chassis with recesses (13) for second plug parts arranged on the ends of the connection cables of actuators or sensors, plug connectors for connecting cables (15) for neighborhood communications and with at least one intrinsically safe external power supply. The connection strip has an additional attachment holder in which a connecting plug (32) is fixed and to which a connecting plug for a lamp can be connected to connect the lamp to the intrinsically safe external power supply.
