A set-top-box standby method, a set-top-box wake-up method and the set-top-box thereof are disclosed in the embodiments of the present invention. The set-top-box standby method includes the steps of: after receiving the standby signal, turning off the power supply of the output unit; turning off the power supply of the signal processing unit; turning off the power supply of the input unit; indicating the memory unit to enter the low power state; indicating the central processing unit to enter the low power state. By applying the embodiments of the present invention, when a set-top-box is in a standby mode, it is determined to turn off the power supply or to enter the low power state according to the characteristics of different functional units, so that the set-top-box can be woke up quickly, as well as consume lower power in a standby mode.
