The invention relates to a method for stabilizing the vehicle movement dynamic behaviour of a motor vehicle (1) during acceleration, which motor vehicle (1) has two wheels (4) spaced apart from one another at least on one axle on sections of the underlying surface which have different coefficients of friction, wherein a control device (8) acts on a steering device (5) of the motor vehicle (1) in such a way that a superimposition angle (22) is applied to the steering device (5) in addition to an angle set by a vehicle driver, in order to counteract a yaw moment of the motor vehicle (1), and wherein an ESP control device (9) brings about a braking torque for a wheel (4) on a section of the underlying surface with a low coefficient of friction, wherein the braking torque is converted into the superimposition angle (22) in a computing device (10). The invention also relates to a device containing means for carrying out such a method.
