GAMMA RAY DETECTOR, RADIATION ANALYZER, CROSS-SECTIONAL IMAGING APPARATUS AND ITS ANALYSIS METHOD

A gamma ray detector for detecting gamma rays emitted from an object to be measured comprises an organic scintillator for detecting Compton electrons bumped out by the gamma rays emitted from the object to be measured, an inorganic scintillator for detecting Compton gamma rays, and a detector module consisting of optical detectors for detecting light emission from the respective scintillators. The gamma ray detection window of the gamma ray detector is adjusted in compliance with the characteristics of the organic scintillator. Using this gamma ray detector, a radiation analyzer which has an ultrahigh S/N ratio and is inexpensive can be realized.
