A machine tool control system of a controlled process acting as a network client requests information from a host website over the internet. The client collects real-time control data. The host may deliver an application to be run on the client to collect real-time data. Data, including the real-time data, a customer ID and a machine ID, is transmitted to the host and forms the base for generation of manufacturing equipment information on the host. The information generated may also contain customer specicif price information. The data is stored in a database including a timestamp to generate a machine tool history. The data of the database is made accessible to origianl equipment manufacturers OEM for a fee.
