The support has two cowls (16) extended in a direction and inserted in holes (15) of a cross piece (14) on which an optical unit (10) is mounted. A displacement mechanism (22) permits to move the support as wells as the optical unit in a manner to assemble the unit with a fender. The mechanism has a control rod that is driven by a handle comprising peripheral teeth designed to engage with teeth of the rod.
