In accordance with an embodiment of the invention, a vane support (52) defines a land (84), and a neck region (96) of a bladed rotor assembly (54) defines a segmented ring (86). The segmented ring (86) protrudes outward from the bladed rotor assembly (54) in the neck region (96), spans across the cavity (50) and cooperates with the land (84) to define a seal.
