This exploration device for exploring in depth objects (10) such as a human body, device comprises: - a display device (I) for allowing the visualization of screens. - a pointing device (3) manoeuvrable by the user, - a first database (8) comprising volumetric data relating to the object, - a management assembly (12) for managing the interaction of said devices with said database. There is furthermore provided: - an object construction manager (a, b, c, d, e, fig. 3), for constructing the object on the basis of said volumetric data - a fictitious camera (42) displaceable by action on the pointing device (3) so as to provide visualizations of said object on the display device.
