Provided is a definite component model determining apparatus for determining the model of a definite component contained in a given probability density function, the definite component model determining apparatus being provided with a spectrum calculating unit for calculating the spectrum of the probability density function in a predetermined variable axis, a null value detecting unit for detecting the null value in the variable axis of the spectrum, a theoretical value calculating unit for calculating, with respect to a predetermined plurality of types of models of definite components, the theoretical values of the spectra of the definite components on the basis of the null value detected by the null value detecting unit, and a model determining unit for determining the model of the definite component contained in the probability density function on the basis of respective spectral differences representing the differences between the spectrum calculated by the spectrum calculating unit and the theoretical values of the spectra of the respective models of definite components.
