Disclosed are: an emulsion fuel; an apparatus capable of producing a necessary amount of an emulsion fuel; a method for producing an emulsion fuel; and a method for handling an emulsion fuel.An apparatus for producing an emulsion fuel comprises a fuel supply pump (24) which is arranged in a fuel supply channel (20) that communicates with a combustion means (23), and a liquid mixing means (10) which is arranged in the upstream of the fuel supply channel (20) and provided with a mixing chamber (30) having one side communicating with a fuel tank (12) via an injection opening (32) and another side communicating with a water tank (16).  The negative pressure of the fuel supply pump (24) for supplying a fuel to the combustion means (23) is further applied to the mixing chamber (30), so that the fuel supplied from the fuel tank (12) is injected into the mixing chamber (30) through the injection opening (32) and water supplied from the water tank (16) is introduced into the mixing chamber (30), thereby mixing the fuel and water together in the mixing chamber (30).  By mixing the fuel and water together in the mixing chamber (30), there is produced an emulsion fuel, a part of which is emulsified and the other part of which remains in the form of a mixture of the fuel and water.  By introducing the emulsion fuel into the fuel supply pump (24), emulsification of the fuel is advanced.
