A radiotherapy system includes an apparatus (2, 6) and a control apparatus (7). The apparatus (2,6) outputs a status of a waveguide (8,121) which transmits a high-frequency wave from a high-frequency power source (5) to an acceleration tube (64). The control apparatus (7) controls the high-frequency power source (5) such that an high-frequency power is supplied to the acceleration tube (64) by using the high-frequency wave, based on the status. The acceleration tube (64) accelerates charged particles for generating therapeutic radiation by using the high-frequency wave.
