The present invention makes reference to a procedure for the production of biodiesel that involves carrying out a transesterification reaction on an initial product selected from between one or more oils, one or more fats, and mixtures of these, in the presence of pig pancreatic lipase as enzymatic biocatalyst, at a pH of at least 8, preferably at least 10, and to the use of the said procedure for obtaining biodiesel as well as glycerine.
