SCALABLE MESSAGE AUTHENTICATION FRAMEWORK

There is provided a scalable message authentication framework. An apparatus comprises thereof a plurality of ports each being configured to be connectable to one network node, a key storage being configured to store one authentication key for each network node connected via one of said plurality of ports, an authenticator being configured to authenticate a message between said apparatus and a network node connected via one of said plurality of ports using the one authentication key stored for said network node.
