METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ENABLING E-UTRAN NODE B (ENB) TO ACCESS CORE NETWORK

A method and an apparatus for enabling E-UTRAN Node B (eNB) to access a core network are provided by the present invention. Said method includes the following steps. A network configuration module sets up the current network running mode and transmits the network running mode to a network running module. The network running module performs the initialization on a network processing module according to the network running mode and enables a protocol processing module corresponding to the network running mode. On the uplink direction, after receiving a message transmitted by the eNB, the network running module determines the mode that need be used currently to access the core network according to the current network running mode. After the network processing module performs the corresponding protocol processing on said message according to the mode, the message is transmitted to the core network. On the downlink direction, when receiving the message of the core network, the network receiving and transmitting module transparently transmits the message to the network processing module. After the network processing module performs the corresponding protocol processing on the message, the message is transmitted to the eNB through the network running module.
