Disclosed is a method of treating alopecia greata using a compound having the formula: wherein RSUB1 /SUBis CSUB10/SUB-CSUB24 /SUBalkenyl; RSUB2 /SUBis H, CSUB1/SUB-CSUB6 /SUBalkyl, aryl, or aralkyl, where any aryl moiety may be unsubstituted or substituted by nitro, cyano, halo, hydroxyl, NRSUB6/SUBRSUB7/SUB, or CRSUB8/SUBRSUB8/SUBNRSUB6/SUBRSUB7/SUB, where RSUB6/SUB, RSUB7/SUB, and RSUB8 /SUBeach independently is H or CSUB1/SUB-CSUB6 /SUBalkyl; and RSUB3 /SUBand RSUB4 /SUBeach independently is H or CSUB1/SUB-CSUB6 /SUBalkyl, or RSUB3 /SUBand RSUB4 /SUBtogether with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached form a 5-7 membered heterocyclic saturated ring optionally containing an additional N or O, which is unsubstituted or substituted by CSUB1/SUB-CSUB6 /SUBalkyl, or an enantiomer or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of the compound.
