An apparatus (10) for making an identification label and applying it to a product comprises supporting means (12) for means operating on the label and for the control and actuator means of the corresponding apparatus operating means. The supporting means (12) comprise a longitudinal wall (121) dividing a first side, or operating zone (10a), from a second side, or control and actuator zone (10b), through the longitudinal wall (121) at least part of the operating means being connected to the corresponding control and actuator means, thanks to through- holes made in the longitudinal wall (121). The supporting means (12) also comprise one or more transversal walls extending from the longitudinal wall (121), the transversal walls structurally operating in conjunction with the longitudinal wall (121).
