A method for communicating between a primary station (1) and a secondary station (3) in a network, comprising: - the primary station (1) sending to a relay node (4) a signal to be transmitted to the secondary station (3), - the relay node (4) overlaying a reference signal on the signal to be transmitted, the relay node (4) forwarding to the secondary station (3) the combination of the signal to be transmitted and the reference signal. The invention also relates to a communication system and a relay node for being used with a method according to the present invention.
