The bracket (15) has a holder for fastening a cover material (33) to the bracket, where the bracket is connected with a vehicle body. The bracket is provided between a foldable collapsible roof and the vehicle body within a rear roof opening region of a passenger car. A tensioning bracket strip (17) is adjustably connected with a carrier strip (16) i.e. aluminum extruded section, by screw connections, where the carrier strip is adjustably fastened to the vehicle body by another screw connections. The carrier strip has a receiving space (20) into which the tensioning bracket strip projects.
