Provided are a log extraction device, a log information extraction method, and a program capable of extracting log information under a condition that an operating system is installed. The log extraction device is provided with an operating system monitoring means to monitor an operating system of an information processing device and to detect installation of the operating system; and a log extraction means to extract log information of the information processing device and log information of the operating system when the installation of the operation system is detected.
