A short-range RFID as an identification medium 50 is incorporated into a top end stop 5 of a slide fastener, and antenna connecting terminal 51 connected to the identification medium 50 is exposed in a surface of the top end stop. An antenna line 35a is formed on a film 36, and contact points 35b are formed on both ends of the antenna line 35a wherein an adhesive portion 37 is formed on an end portion of the film 36 excluding the contact points 35b. By attaching the adhesive portion 37 of the film 36 on a top surface of the top end stop 5, the contact points 35b of the antenna line 35a and the antenna connecting terminal 51 are connected respectively. Consequently, the identification medium 50 can be used as a RFID for long-range communication. Then, by peeling off the film 36 from the top end stop 5, the identification medium 50 can be used as a RFID for short-range communication.
